Moderne - Electronique
Deux - Game and Performance
Elli et Jacno - Les Nuits de Pleine Lune
Modern Guy - Electrique Sylvie
Ruth - Polaroid Roman Photo
Lizzy Mercier Descloux - Larousse Baron Bic

abandoned soviet buildings
In april, we shot a fashion series for Vice magazine in Warszawa. The day we arrived was also the day the president (and most of the government) died in the plane crash. Special thanks to Szymon.

upside down song
I discovered Bathcrones on Platform, through one their Jookbox mixes. This song is perfect for party endings, when the sky is getting brighter. Kind of a druggy electro track that doesn't sound digitalized or synthesized at all.

Where have you been lately? Do you travel a lot?
In the summer I went to England with my family. I spent a lot of time there growing up, so it’s quite a close place to my heart. I went to New York City in October, for the second time in 2009. I guess I do travel a lot, I love it.
Do you watch a lot of movies? Are there any films that you really feel close to?
Yeah, I suppose I do. I feel really close to movies I watched a lot when I was a child. “The Secret Garden” especially. Every scene in that movie could be a photograph, it’s all so beautiful. I cry every time I watch it.
Is there a period of history in which you would have loved to live?
Super hard question! The way Robert Frank photographed America in the 1950’s is breathtaking. Possibly there, or Paris in the 70’s.

What kind of music do you listen to? Did you discover any bands that amazed you in 2009?
There’s so much, really. 2009 was a great year for music. I really liked Bitte Orca by Dirty Projectors.
Do you feel that you belong to the indie photography scene that has developed mainly through flickr ?
I started taking film photographs long before I joined flickr. I think it’s really cool that a whole group of photographers are getting decent exposure for their work, just from flickr. I don’t feel as if I belong to it, but it’s nice to think I’m a part of what’s going on.
How old were you when you started to take photos ?
I was really young actually. My parents bought me a 35mm Minolta point and shoot for Christmas when I was about three years old. I still use it.

- Do you study photography?
Yes! Hopefully I’ll continue to do so in university as well.
What do you think of today's fashion photography ? Are there fashion photographers that you like ?
I don’t pay a lot of attention to fashion photography. I like what I see though, for the most part, if it’s well done!
